Of turbulent skies and racing rains
Driven like daggers against my window

A captive of secrets, a slave to another time,
To unanswered questions, driven like daggers
Against my mind

Now I know how far away the end can seem
When everything you love remains just beyond your reach
We are casualties in the war between dreams and realities

Losing all sensation, here beneath the waves
Of wildly distorted visions against the window pane
Echoes of motivation, obscured like the open skies
Linger on the edge of conciousness, weaken, and die
